This beautiful home (below) started out with a downstairs full of small doorways.  We knocked out the weight-bearing wall (adding steel beam support across the top) and created this beautiful columned arch - bringing elegance and airiness to what was an ordinary space.  The next renovation was to open up the kitchen by knocking down that wall, and replacing it with a beautiful granite topped bar.  Again, elegance is not compromised in the family room, but a desirable open space is created.  You CAN have it all.  Check out the Kitchens page for more photos of these renovations.
